E-commerce Academy

On Thursday, August 16, the educational project E-commerce Academy started with its first lecture from the module Start-up in e-commerce business. Together with ACOMWARE, the project partner is Dobrý web and the University of Economics in Prague, whose students participate in this project.

Students gained an insight into the issue of e-commerce not only from a theoretical point of view, but also mainly from a practical point of view. They had the opportunity to discuss with the owner of the e-shop VašeČočky.cz, Mr. Vlastimil Vávrů. He mentioned the mistakes he made in the early days of his business, as well as the innovative steps that boosted his business.

The lectures focused primarily on the business plan and its detailed structure. The target groups of customers and their needs were discussed. Mr. Miloš Borovička from dTest magazine introduced the audience to legislation in the field of e-commerce.

After completing the first series of lectures, students should be able to draw up a business plan for their start-up, properly present the product and know how to work with customers.

Thursday's lecture is followed by a practical workshop, in which E-commerce Academy participants divide into teams and start their projects.

The topic Specifics of customer behavior in e-commerce will follow. The content of this course is, for example, a description of the online market, the possibilities of acquiring customers or increasing the conversion rate.

The grant entitled "Development of the business environment using new scientific knowledge in the field of e-commerce business" was approved by the City Hall. Prague at the end of last year. The project is financed from the resources of the European Social Fund and the budget of the capital. City of Prague - "We invest in your future".
