The number of mobile purchases is growing, reaching a new high in the 3rd quarter

Current data on the state of Czech e-commerce are based on data from the consulting company ACOMWARE. Its analysis shows that in the 3rd quarter, the turnover growth of domestic e-shops slowed slightly year-on-year to the current 13 %, but overall it increased by almost a quarter for the whole of this year. "It is already virtually certain that all e-commerce will grow by at least 20 % this year," explains Jan Penkala, CEO of the company. "The main trend we observe is the willingness of customers to use their mobile phone for shopping. In the 3rd quarter, mobile phones already accounted for almost 15 % of traffic in e-shops, a little under 7 % of turnover, and for the first time they reached a conversion rate of 1 %." supplies.

In addition, the most important three months of the year await domestic e-shops from October. "Christmas is traditionally a period for which merchants prepare for a long time. This year, in addition to campaigns, they should not underestimate the issue of website optimization for mobile phones. The demand for quality services is also increasing," clarifies Penkala. Earlier, ACOMWARE published a growth estimate for the Christmas period, where e-shops should improve by up to 25 % year-on-year. Some merchants expect even more significant growth - for example, Alza.cz estimates that Czechs will spend up to 40 % more money on gifts this year than last year.
