Research for the Marketing Festival: the biggest potential is in mobile advertising

Mobile and video advertising has the greatest potential among services in the field of online marketing. This is according to the research of the company ACOMWARE, which was published on the first day of the Marketing Festival conference.

Survey conducted in November 2015 on the occasion of the November conference Marketing Festival focused on opinions and attitudes of online marketing specialists. The answers show that the domestic market in the field of mobile advertising is expected to see the greatest development. "Roughly 65 % respondents think so. Over 50 %s also agree that video advertising or social networks will see a big rise," explains Ondřej Klega from ACOMWARE and adds: "The placement of mobile phones in the first place of research is not surprising. Our statistics for this year show, among other things, that the share of mobile phones in the number of visitors and turnover of Czech e-shops increased by approximately 60 % in the year."

According to the results of the survey, it reigns among online marketing specialists satisfaction with salary conditions in the field. They are also very interested in further expanding their knowledge. "70 % marketers are satisfied with their salary. This also applies to those whose wages have recently stagnated," says Klega. Regarding the need for education, 88 % marketers read professional publications such as books or blogs. They also get information on social networks (73.1 %) or at Czech conferences (71.8 %).

More than a quarter of those surveyed already hold some of the professional certifications. More than 41 % marketers are most motivated to work by the demonstrable results of their work. The possibility of self-education appeared in second place. Marketers consider salary or another type of financial reward to be the fourth most important factor. "The results clearly show that financial reward is not the only motivator for starting a career. On the contrary, young people in particular are enthusiastic about the possibility of professional development in areas that are naturally close to them," thinks Magda Divišová, CEO of Online People.
