Infographic: How do e-shops see 2015?

The survey took place at the beginning of January, and a total of 193 Czech e-shops took part in it. Its results indicate that the mood on the Czech e-commerce market is very positive this year as well. "Almost all sellers see the year 2015 optimistically - 90 % expect growth, 7 % expect stagnation, and only 3 % think their turnover will decrease," says Jan Penkala, CEO of the consulting company ACOMWARE, regarding the conclusions of the survey.

The main conclusions of the survey:

  1. 74 % e-shops increased their turnover last year, 13 % saw a decrease;
  2. 90 % e-shops expect their turnover to increase in 2015. A year ago, 81 % had the same expectations;
  3. E-shops will invest more this year, this applies to 67 % of them. At 27 %, investments will stagnate;
  4. The largest investments will be directed to online marketing (at 66 % stores), emailing and investments in website optimization have also been strengthened;
  5. The goals of e-shops until 2015 are primarily to increase turnover (72 %) and improve marketing (47 %);
  6. E-shops consider lack of capital (23 %) and a narrow team of people (23 %) as the biggest weakness.
