The February Eshopista will focus

on the expansion of e-shops abroad

On Thursday, February 20, 2020, the first Eshopista discussion of the year will take place in the premises of La Fabrika, which will focus on the issue of the expansion of e-shops to foreign markets and e-commerce abroad. For example, Karol Guláš from ASTRATEX, Jan Jelínek from Alensa, Jenda Perla from Dataweps or Martin Svoboda from Google will share practical experience and the latest trends. The event will be moderated by the founder of Zásilkovna Simona Kijonková together with Forbes editor Michael Mareš.

The expansion of e-shops abroad is a big topic of Czech e-commerce, which is associated with a number of questions and concerns. "Entering a foreign market is a huge challenge for every e-shop, which places great demands on it. It's not just about sufficient finance or the right business strategy, but you can't do without market knowledge or high-quality customer service." presents the event manager Terezie Charvátová on behalf of the organizing consulting company Acomware event, according to which the Eshopista will offer practical answers to the most pressing questions related to the expansion. It is now possible to attend the event register.

The main educational program the event will be started by Jenda Perla from the company Dataweps, who will show what goods and at what prices people in Central Europe buy online. Using examples of several categories, he will present the differences between individual e-commerce markets, among other things. "As part of the inspiring block, the listeners will learn what prevents entry into a new market, what problems may arise, how individual countries differ or how strong competition must be expected," Terezie Charvátová adds to the program. These experiences will be shared by Karol Guláš, the marketing manager of the online underwear retailer ASTRATEX, and Jan Jelínek, the marketing manager of the leading European player in the segment of contact lenses and glasses, Alensa.

In the panel discussion, representatives of e-shops operating abroad will explain the specifics of a e-commerce market trends in Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. The speakers will also draw attention to the barriers and opportunities in the given markets. The main afternoon program will be closed by Martin Svoboda, who helps Google clients to enter new markets. For example, he will tell the listeners how Czech e-shop operators compare to other countries or what is important to achieve success in foreign competition.

A practical seminar will also be part of the program on Thursday, February 20. "He will be focused on expansion planning and logistics. Zuzana Klimková and David Dohányos from Google will present some practical recommendations. For example, participants will learn how to prepare for expansion, how to prepare a marketing plan and what the current legislative requirements are.” concludes Terezie Charvátová.
